Breaking Down

Today I don't know if you really want to come take a walk in my shoes.  I have been loving living in a new town, pursuing my dreams, and doing what I love.  But have you ever felt like you have way too much on your plate?  My two jobs that pay the least are the ones I love the most!  And one of them pays so little I consider it volunteering.  I literally broke down crying at a grocery store and gas station today when they wouldn't accept my gift card. haha.

Now I know I am not the only person who is going through a hard time during this economy, but this is the first time it has really hit me.  For the first time in my life I did not know if I was going to be able to pay my rent! I even got rid of my cable!!!  Big step for me...I love E!

All this to say I don't know what I would do during this time without my faith.  God somehow keeps giving me enough "bread and fish".  Here are some verses that have helped me and if you are going through the same thing might help you as well.

Philippians 4:6-7
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

"Then Jesus said, "Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke fits perfectly, and the burden I give you is light." Matthew 11:28-30
2Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. 4Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. 5If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him. 6But when he asks, he must believe and not doubt, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. 7That man should not think he will receive anything from the Lord; 8he is a double-minded man, unstable in all he does.
